I created a new web experience for users to learn about Spruce’s latest feature — the high-yield savings account. The web page and interest calculator tool guide users to greater financial outcomes and unleash the power of exponential earnings.
The Spruce mobile banking app has a new feature.
Spruce customers can earn 3.50% APY on their savings when they opt-in to the High-Yield Savings Account.
Background
The challengeFrom the start, Spruce has been dedicated to equipping users with financial tools and knowledge.
So, when it came time to telling our users about this exciting new feature, we wanted to take the full opportunity to show users why a high-yield savings account is so much more powerful that what we’ve previously been able to offer them.
The calculatorShowing the user some nice looking charts is one thing.
Creating a new interactive high-yield savings interest tool is another.
After collaborating with my product partners and seeking consultation from our in-house legal team, I arrived at a solution that gave users a fresh outlook on their financial future.
This design highlights the exponential growth of their principal contribution over a time ranging from as little as 1 month to 50 years. To further defend the power of holding your money in the high-yield savings account over the full period of time, I asked our devs to insert a half-way mark.
When users hover over the tool-tip, they see a more detailed breakdown of their earnings separated by interest received and contributions.
